Biodiversity
is short for biological diversity and is best summed up as the natural variety of life
here on earth, encompassing all living organisms that fundamentally affect all our lives
at both work and home.
By
enriching the Biodiversity in the smallest or largest of domestic gardens through to
private estates, commercial developments, parklands and rural pastures, we can
restore the UK`s battered and fatigued biodiversity.
C.F.O.P &
Landscape-UK is working closely with the Biodiveristy Touchstone Foundation to expand its
biodiversity advisory teams to carry out carbon audits for those striving towards ISO
registration but for the majority us; biodiversity is basically and quite simply working
the natural habitat into our lifestyles.
Green Leaf Points &
Rewards
Through the
process of Photosynthesis, leaves filter out our excess CO2 emissions from the
atmosphere. Our Green
Leaf Points & Rewards use natural elements to
promote ones greener attributes.

& Landscape-UK project.
Planting
Five Million Native Provenance Trees throughout the UK
There are numerous
reasons to plant trees from personalised tree gifts to carbon conscious offsets.
C.F.O.P & Landscape-UK make tree planting affordable to those who want to
participate with all dedicated or sponsored trees planted here in the UK. We are the
largest of all ongoing planting projects creating new community forests and woodlands that
will incorporate some 6000 hectares of land identified by DEFRA as unsuitable for farming.
6000 hectares may
sound a lot but in fact the UK is made up of 24.4million hectares, of which 6.4 million
hectares is arable farming land. Our long term plans extend to planting 28,000 hectares of
woodlands by 2030.
Wood
Fuel Tomorrows Alternative to Fossil Fuels
Our
project lends itself to developing wood fuel plantations here in the UK whilst promoting
the commercial benefits of wood fuel as the carbon-lean rather than carbon neutral
resources. For every tree we plant on your behalf, we plant one into our SRC wood
fuel plantations that will extend through some 500 hectares during the next decade. And
for those wanting to grow their own, we offer Wood Fuel Kits which allow you to adopt the
grow and burn technique.
Bringing
People Together
Our A to
Z Landscape Portal will in time link us through to key businesses within landscape
horticultural industry. The wealth of online information from the companies who recognise
the importance of biodiversity and environmental integration will help bring people
together. All revenues generated from subscriptions will result in paying for trees that
will be planted into the C.F.O.P & Landscape-UK Project.
Working
towards the Greener Healthier Environment of Tomorrow
Trees
and the process of "Photosynthesis" have the unparalleled ability to remove
carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. They bring biodiversity to the landscape and retain
the single-largest natural entity in life that we have come to rely upon, and yet we pay
very little attention to them. So the next time you look at a tree and its bio-mass think
about the fact that what you see was once nothing but a volume of carbon dioxide gasses
that previous generations handed down. Then ask yourself this. What are we leaving to
future generations?
